Being Involved with my Community Matters to Me

Greater St. Louis Art Association - I have been volunteering with this organization for several years. This group is highly committed to their mission.

”The Greater St Louis Art Association is an active group of artists and art enthusiasts with a mission to promote the visual arts and art education in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. We hope to enrich the artistic ability and community feeling of our members.”

Creve Coeur Arts Commission - I believe that art in communities has the power to create unity, ideas, conversation, and identity. Giving time to my own community in this pursuit is important to me.

Lucky Lane Early Childhood Association - I love learning! I respect educators of all kinds. I believe positive, play based early childhood education gives children a positive start to a lifetime of learning. My husband and later my children attended Lucky Lane. I served on their board when my children attended and taught for several years after they left. I returned several years ago as an advisory board member. The longevity of my commitment to this school is a testament to how passionate I am about it.

Blaze STL - This is a new not-for-profit. Their, “clay projects are designed to teach general work skills, abilities and build confidence.”   They, “do this through collaboration with other non profit organizations that provide support for the disadvantaged and disabled in the Saint Louis, Missouri area.” I am honored to serve on their board.
